Description:
Hi! I'm Jedi, but my foster mama calls me Peanut, Punkin, Baby, ChunkerButt, SweetCheeks, and other names too. I like them all - as long as she's talking to me I wag my tail and am happy happy happy.

I am feeling SO much better- when I came to MARS, I had a cough/cold, itchy skin, ear infections, and just felt kind of miserable because of what Mama calls my 'past life'. But she's given me medicines (in treats! Yay!), drops in my ears, and a special bath twice a week.....and I did so well with all of them that they made me ALL BETTER! She's also given me something called 'good nutrition' - I don't know what that means, but I know I get so excited at meal time that I dance around the kitchen until my food is in my bowl!

I love to snuggle. I love blankies. I'm even ok with the sweaters I wear when it's cold outside. I love to burrow under the blankies and be snuggly warm underneath. I'll even wait there while you're gone, snuggled in til you get home. I haven't minded foster mama being gone (I have had the company of a couple of friendly beagles, though, so that's helped). Have I mentioned I love to snuggle? If I can hang out on your lap I will be one happy pup!

I know what this "potty" thing is, and even go to the back door to tell foster mama it's time. Sometimes I have accidents. But hey, I've had what foster mama calls "a transition", and let's be real- it's been COLD outside and I'm just a little guy. But if you're patient with me and we go out on a regular schedule, I promise I'll get better- I'm smart and already know what to do!

I'm pretty little and can potentially sneak through a gap in a fence, so I'd like to make sure my new humans keep me safe with a really secure fence, and/or always having me on a leash. I'm not sure yet how I'll feel about walks - when I got to my foster home it was -30 degrees outside, so we haven't tried yet.

I'm just starting to realize how fun toys are. Balls are SO MUCH FUN! I just like to bat them around and bite them and chase after them in the living room.

I'm just 9 pounds, but the doctor and Mama both say I'm a tad bit chunky. They talked about that 'good nutrition' thing again, and hey- I'm game! I love the healthy grain free good quality food that mama gives me, so I'd love it if my furever human can give me that 'good nutrition' too! I don't eat much, so it's really not a big deal to get the good stuff (Mama says Chuck & Don's is a great place to get my food).

Everyone wants to know, 'do I like kids?' I am a sweet, sweet guy, and I am friendly & like to meet new people. I am little, though. So little kids might trample me or accidentally hurt me when they are playing - so I'd like to go to a home with humans that know how to be around a tiny little one like me.

I'm so happy to have a loving foster home but Mama says I am ready to find a Furever Home. I'm about 7 years old, but did you know that for little guys like me, that's nuthin'!? Are you looking for a sweet little Punkin like me? Fill out an adoption app and let my rep know, I'd love to meet you!!!!

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS.  We do not transport to potential adopters.

How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance.  Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.

Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed.

If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history.
