Meet Beau!

Beau is a happy go lucky boy that is looking for a new home. He is very friendly and good with other dogs and people of all ages. No cats though. He finds them to... tempting!

Beau has been given the endearing name of "Gentle Giant." Giant for his foster family used to beagles but small for someone who, say, owns a lab. Beau is generally pretty quiet. He will whine when he needs to go out to use the bathroom. Beau also has a little woof he reserves for an alert or when the other dogs in his foster home break out into chaos. He is very low shed, smart, and eager to learn. Already he has learned sit though he can't seem to keep his rear end still when being leashed. Typical of his breed Beau loves to follow his nose so a pocket full of treats would be good for outdoor training sessions.

Once in the house Beau is able to lumber into low energy mode. Typically he will roll over for belly rubs or an ear massage. The foster's two year old son loves to plop down next to Beau, pick up the pup's head and place it in his lap, then just pet Beau's ears. They have that soft silky feel kids can't seem to get enough of. A great way to pass time for the both of them!

URGENT: needs a temporary foster home, while we work to find a forever home. We cover all authorized medical expenses.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
