Description:

Hi my name is Freddie. I was running free a week ago when a very nice little girl in Mound got concerned for my safety and trapped me and my Brother Prince, also available for adoption. We are doing great with being Inside and love our foster attention.

My adoption fee includes my microchip, distemper (3), deworm, rabies, FIV/Feluk test (which was negative) and my neuter.

Please fill out an application so that we can meet and hopefully you will be the loving human that will let me love you furever.

Foster update:

He's a great little kitten. He is full of energy and loves to play. He will follow us around squeaking until we play with him, and if we are busy, he will go get things out of the toy box himself and bring them over--especially his "string." * After getting over the stress of joining a new household, he quickly engaged with us and loves to be where the people are. He's already sleeping in my bed with Resident Cat, too. If he refuses to calm down when he comes to bed, I hand him off to Resident Cat, who holds him down with one paw and licks him until he purrs and falls sound asleep.

He's settled into a housecat life very well. He eats well, is very tidy with the litter box and is fine with hairdryers and vacuum cleaners as long as he can run away. ;). He squirms when I pick him up, but once I start petting him, he has a purr louder than seems possible for such a little guy! He loves to be loved and will butt his head into my chin over and over. He's also very patient (for a kitten) about getting his nails trimmed, and we're working on holding still while I touch his mouth and teeth.

He's a lovely little gentleman & would be great in a home with another cat!

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
