Meet Flo!

If you are looking for the most unique dog around, look no further! Flo has a wonderful personality, and loves to be wherever her humans are. Though Flo has some gray fur coming in, don't be fooled - she is about 7.5 years young and has lots more years of happiness ahead of her! She loves to be active and trot from room to room to see what the humans are up to. She even has gone running with me, up to a mile at a time!

Flo might be part Chinese Crested or another breed that doesn’t have much fur, because her fur is pretty thin in most places, and in other places she doesn’t have any fur at all. This is just another thing that makes her so unique! When you scratch her neck or back just at the right place, she will make the cutest noises – grunts and whines and squeals of happiness!

Flo is well house trained, and goes potty right away as soon as you bring her outside - especially if it is a little chilly outside! Some of Flo’s favorite activities include pulling the stuffing (and squeakers!) out of squeaky toys, furiously wagging her tail, and snuggling up under the covers!

Flo would prefer a quieter environment for her forever home. She gets along with other dogs, but sometimes she can get bossy with them. She needs humans who can be patient and firm with her, to teach her that she will always get love and affection, even if another dog is around getting love too! She currently has one canine sibling that is very laid back, and she gets along great with him.

If you have enough love in your heart and home to bring Flo into them, you won’t be disappointed! She will give back that love tenfold!

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
