Description:
Hi!  I'm Baron, an 18 month old husky puppy looking for a forever home. Lemme tell you a little about myself and we can decide if your family is a match for me!
  • I am completely housebroken and crate trained! I am trustworthy and have full run of the house.
  • I'm super smart.  I know how sit, lay down, shake, wave "hi" and speak!  However, I AM a husky and therefore stubborn as the day is long, so unless you have a treat, I may or may not listen to you.
  • I LOVE playing with other dogs.  I like to wrestle and run like crazy! My foster mom is going to post some videos so you can see me play!
  • I am living with a chihuahua and 2 cats.  I love my foster siblings and would never hurt them, but sometimes I do like to chase them or paw them to see if they would like to play with me. I've gotten smacked by the cats a few times for doing this, yet I continue...because next time they might really want to play!
  • I can JUMP!  And because I am a husky, I also love to run!!  I would love it if you had a tall fence, but we can work with tie outs too, as long as you watch me while I'm on one.
  • I like to go on long walks on the beach...ok, not the beach- we are in Minnesota.  But long walks on the trails keep me happy.  I would make a great partner too.  My foster mom is working with me to learn how to walk loose leash.  I am young so I still get distracted by squirrels and what not.  I am also doing really good at walking with a pack of dogs.
  • I love kids!  I pounce on the teenagers in my house to wake them up each morning.  If they do not respond to my advances, I put my cold nose on their backs so they get up and let me out-don't they know how important I am?!?
  • I love to play tug-of-war, chew on bones and I'll chase a ball if you throw it (sometimes I'll even bring it back!).  I need lots of toys that keep me busy and stimulate my brain.  Because I am young and so smart, if I don't have proper exercise and toys to play with, I will indeed eat your flip flops.
  • I am quiet.  Weird right?  I know, most huskies will talk your ear off, but I am one of those silent wonders.  I will bark if told to, and sometimes while playing with other dogs, but I am a much better listener than talker. BUT....if you say the work WALK, I will pace from door to door chattering up a storm until you take me on one! I love my walks!
  • I am curious, silly, high energy, fun loving, and loves me some belly scratches!
Am I the right fit for you?  Please click the Adoption Application button below if you think you and I would make a great team!

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS.  We do not transport to potential adopters.

How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance.  Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.

Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed.

If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history.
