Emily, or Emma as we call her, is the biggest snuggle bunny I have ever met. She has overcome so many hurtles since she came to stay with us. She was a mama for a puppy mill and she just broke your heart when she came in. Her body may have been in a less than ideal shape, but her heart was pure gold. With our time, the attention of a great Vet and the generosity of MARS and she’s a whole new dog! She has overcome so much in her short time with us.
Honestly, she may be my first “foster fail” I have grown so attached to this little miracle. She is potty trained, but after so many babies, she has a hard time always making it outside, so she is trained to go on a piddle pad when needed. She crates just fine. She doesn’t hardly bark, cry, chew things up, nothing. She’s as perfect of a dog you could get; in my humble opinion. Her only goal in life is to cuddle with you. She is very happy when she is put on the bed to help me with my homework or watch TV.
She gets along with all the other dogs that have passed in and out of the house, big and small. She could care less about the cats or the ferrets. She just wants to cuddle with you. She is so cute doing her little dance when she is ready to be put on the bed to hang out.
She does not do stairs yet, but we are about to start working on that next. We hope her aversion to stairs is just her lack of use. We suspect she didn’t make it out of her pen much before <big frown>. She is a little fractious of loud noises and chaos, so she has a “safe spot” she goes to if she feels the house is too loud or too busy for her. So a forever home that does not have small children daily would be best.
She has the perfect double curl pug tail, and an adorable face that hardly needs attention. She doesn’t even snore! If you want a little cuddler to be your best friend and shadow, Emma is your gal!
When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS.
