Description:
Flare is very sweet, but a little shy at first, but she will warm up after she feels comfortable. She knows her name and comes when called, she also knows how to sit, lie down and shake (although which paw she will shake with is up to her and how she feels at the time). She loves having her belly rubbed. She likes her kennel and sleeps all night without a peep. She loves being outside and playing ball. She will jump and catch the ball in mid-air, I have not tried playing Frisbee with her yet but I bet she will jump up and catch it too. She walks on a leash like a champ. She has an EasyWalk harness and whenever I have it in my hand she's all excited about going out. She plays great with more submissive dogs, but is shy around bigger more aggressive dogs. Sophie is very good about playing by herself too, and sometime will bring her ball to you just to make sure you do not forget she is there. She is a sweetheart and will be so happy when she finds her new forever home. Flare would do best in a home with older children, or just adults. *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
