Hi future family, My name is Willow, I not only have a pretty name, everyone tells me I am pretty too!
I was a bit wild when I first came to my foster home, but I have learned manners that will make me a good member of your family. I never have accidents anymore. I go to the back door, look at mom and look at the door to show you I have to go outside. If mom doesn't see me I give a bark so she will look and see.
When Mom is gone I can wait until she comes home, even if she is gone most of the day. When mom is gone I lay on the back of the couch and look out the window or sleep. "Wait" is a word I understand well. If you are eating and I want to sit on your lap, just say "wait until I'm done" and I will sit quietly until you are done. I live in a two story house and I used to rush down the stairs, tripping mom and trying to beat the other dogs. Now I "wait" politely and walk slowly next to mom or a little behind her.
I wasleft in a foreclosure house when my first family left me. They also abused me. Because of the past I just want to be loved. My mom calls me the lovesponge, because I can't get enough love and attention. I would love to cuddle on your lap and be wherever you are.
I worry when someone gets mad at me, so I listen and learn quickly, I'm told I am very smart. I love to go for longwalks. If you are a walker or jogger we would get along great! I'm sad whenthe weather is bad and I can't go for a walk. If you would forget to walk with me, I go to the front door and give a bark to remind you, but I accept no If we can't go.
I never want to leave someone who loves me, so if I were to get away from you, you don't have to worry, I always come when I am called. I love having a fenced in yard where I can run and play. I live with 3 otherdogs and do ok, but I really want to be the most important dog. In fact Iwant so much love I would be happiest as an only dog.
I used to be very afraidof men, but if they are gentle with me I will warm up to them. I am protective of those I love, so because of my past I will bark at men who visit my foster house, just to protect mom, until I know they won't hurt her.
I have been very good with children, especially little girls, and I just ignore the toddler grandson that visits mom. I even flirt a bit to make friends with women and teenage girls who visit, and they think I'm wonderful.
I would loveto sleep under the covers with you, just so we can always be with each other. I am happy at my foster home, but I would love my very own person or family ina forever home. I'm a great kisser too, I give gentle little kisses. Please consider letting me be part of your family.
Love, love me,please,
Willow

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters. How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history.
