Description:
Meet Ella!
Ella is a sweetheart of a dog, who is looking for a family to love her. Ella is content to be an only dog, but you can tell that she would really love a house with kids to play with and watch over. She wants every dog in the neighborhood to be her friend and gets along great with most dogs. Ella is very smart and extremely aware of her surroundings. She loves to play with toys, get her belly rubbed, and to watch TV (especially when kids and animals come on).
Ella is still working on basic training. She has mastered the command of sit. We are now working on wait, which is very hard for Ella to do when there is food to be had! She is also trying to learn not to jump up on people.
Ella is crate trained and almost fully housebroken. She doesn't have a signal that she wants to go out yet though. She goes outside about every 2 1/2 -3 hours when someone is home, otherwise, she can make it 7 hours in her crate if needed. Ella also really enjoys going for walks, but the cold weather and snow has caused the walks to become shorter. Her paws just get too cold.
Ella's personality is very low key, but she can be very playful. She loves to have her toys thrown so she can chase them. However, Ella will also curl up and go to sleep on the couch while you watch TV. She loves to snuggle in bed and to be around humans. She is just a fabulous dog! To adopt Ella, please complete one of our on-line applications by clicking on the adoption button below. Thank you! When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters. How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history.
