Meet Dasher!

Dasher, who his foster family calls Sparky, is doing great!  He's learning
the routine pretty well.  He is a very high-energy little guy. His foster
family bought a treadmill recently, and he can run on it for an hour and
then jump off and be just as "Sparky" as when he started!  He really loves
the treadmill. He's hilarious.

He really does need to have patient, active adopters as his energy level
is quite intense. He went on his first bike ride and caught on right away
and loved it!  Every time his foster mom looked back it was like he was
smiling.

Sparky's learned a couple of tricks and lots of discipline (waiting for
food, going second through doorways etc..) He loves his kennel at night,
in the morning after potty break, and for some periods during the day- he
goes right in like a good boy.  He was extremely skiddish when he first
arrived, but treats as rewards have improved his trust.

He barks and chases the cat, but then doesn't know what to do when he
reaches her.  Over all he's a real good boy. He's great w/ the kids. He
loves affection and lots of interaction with them -especially fetching.

If you are looking for an active companion, Sparky may be the dog for you!

An update from my foster mom!!!!

"Sparky is awesome! He is well mannered and loves to cuddle! Sparky gets
along well with my dog and is curious about the cat, but does not chase
him. He wants to be with people and is terrific with all my friend's
children, no matter the age. There have been no potty accidents, he is able
to hold it up to 10 hours if I get caught in winter weather traffic. I have
been taking him to the members only indoor dog park and he loves to run and
play. At the dog park he goes up to all the humans for a pet or cuddle, he
is very popular. He is gentle with the little dogs and will follow puppies
or small dogs around in curiousity. Overall he would make anyone a great
dog! If you want me to send some more pictures of him I can do that. Also
if you want him to attend the meet and greet at Chuck and Don's I'd be
willing to take him there, just let me know. Thanks!"
