Description:
Hi! I'm Wally! I got that name, because my family dropped me off at a Walmart store and went home again! Can you believe someone just abandoned a nice dog like me? Crazy! The people at Walmart have been nice. They've been feeding me and giving me water. I was just hanging out there waiting for my family to come back and pick me up. While I was there, I met several kids. One of them was about a year and a half old, and I let him climb all over me. It was FUN! My family never came back, so finally someone came to rescue me. They took me in to the vet and got me all cleaned up. They started posting me out to rescues to see who could take me in . Guess what? Someone from Target saw my story and said they could help bring me in to the rescue they work with! So, although I appreciate everything Walmart did for me, someone from Target is helping me find my forever home! I'm going to be arriving in rescue on Sat, Sept 26th. I need a foster home to help take care of me when I arrive. Can you help? I'm a really sweet boy. I promise to be good! Love, Wally UPDATE
FROM WALLY's EMERGENCY FOSTER: Wally is great with all the dogs and cats at my house. He has taken a particular liking to one kitten, and watches over her closely. Wally is a great dog and will make some family very happy! URGENT: Wally needs a temporary foster home, while we work to find a forever home. We cover all authorized medical expenses. You simply provide a safe, loving home! Why not take this opportunity to make a huge difference in the life of a sweet dog who needs some help? Contact us to find out how easy it is to get involved in foster care. Please feel free to fill out an ADOPTION or FOSTER APPLICATION on our main website, www.midwestanimalrescue.org, by clicking on the Form/Applications link under Website Features. Thank You! When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters. How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history.
