Description:
Hi! My name is Elf and I am a special puppy (at least that is what my foster mama says). So here's the deal, I was born with extra flexible limbs... it's basically a super power, think Mr. Fantastic. Anyway, so my twisty legs bend more than the average pup, which you can imagine made learning to walk quite interesting. I had fun with it though! I have a big goofy personality, so being clumsy and walking with 'style' totally fit my class clown attitude. I owned it. I also worked with my foster mama every night on strength training, stretches, and I wore a splint for a little while and.. guess what? It worked! I built up the muscles I needed to control my super powers!!! RooRoooo!!! Yep, I run and jump with the best of them now. Sure, I still lose my footing sometimes and I am prone to having a few tumbles here and there... but I roll it off, literally. The world is so big and full of smells, I've never been afraid of adventure, why start now? Nope, I will continue being a go-go-go puppy. I just need a family ready to come with me on my adventures, yanno in case I fall. And for cuddles and love and kisses, all the good puppy stuff too! Oh, and we are not sure how safe stairs will be for me, so the perfect family will be ready to make accomodations to keep me safe if it turns out I need them. I keep telling my foster mama that I can handle everything, bendy things are harder to break - but she still worries. Basically, I require lots of love, kisses, attention, and maybe some safety precautions. So, how about it? Are you the family for me??? * Puppies under 5 months should not be left alone for more than 4 hours at a time to help them with potty training and socialization.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters. How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history.
