Hi, my name is Dash!

That's because I can run really fast! I like jumping too! That may be how I ended up lost! I had to go to the dog pound for a little while, but now I'm in a great foster home!

At my new foster home, I'm living with one big dog and one little dog. I get along great with both of them. They are "showing me the ropes" here, so I follow them around a lot. There is also a cat here. I'm kind of interested in checking him out, but when I got over by him to sniff, mom called my name, so I had to go. I also get to play with kids some times. That is a lot of fun. I like when they throw the ball for me, so I can run after it. I'm gentle with the young ones.

I've been hearing the phrase "Good Boy" a lot since I got here. It's really nice. I hear that when I go potty outside, when I play nice with the other dogs, and when I'm told to settle down. I really like to sit and look out the big window and watch the world go by.

My mom says I'm kinda clumsy, and gangly... whatever that means. When I run down the steps, it sounds a bit like someone dropped a bag of softballs down the steps.... Thunkety thunkety thunkety oooomff.

I'm a beautiful dark brindle, and I'm definitely a greyhound, but may be mixed with something else. But one thing we know for sure...If I ever grow in to my feet, I'm going to be a big boy!

A note about the last picture on the page:  (Seems Dash has made himself at home)

Greetings from Dash in his foster home. This is an actual photo of Dash,
upon my arrival home and I realized Dash had not been kenneled, but
loose in the house for 2 hours. Nothing destroyed, but I found Dash had
gathered all these various dog toys from throughout the house (balls,
kongs,..and a bag of bread from the counter)and brought all the items to
a favorite sunny spot by the window. I am NOT kidding.

In the photo, Dash is looking at his loot and saying "hi mom, I found
ALL my toys, I wasn't sure about THIS one (pointing at the bread), but
it smelled really good...ok?"

This absolutely cracked me up.
