Meet Eli. This boy has been through a lot and is very cautious of new people. He needs time to adjust to new people on his terms.

He loves other animals, is good on a leash, loves car rides. He is house broken, he will go in the kennel but doesn't really like it. He is learning.

He needs someone who is willing to take time learning how to be okay with people and that all people are not bad.

He needs a foster home who bulldog savvy and will take the time to work with him.

From his foster in OK, prior to coming to MARS - Eli is one lucky boy. He was found wandering around just skin and bones, only 30lbs in December. A rescue angel found him and nursed him back to health. He loves all the dogs and puppies at her house and ignores the cat. Even though he is a big boy he LOVES the puppies and little dogs more than the big dogs. He was very skittish of men at first but her husband earned his trust. He is a healthy 80lbs now and ready to come to rescue and find his furever home. Since he is a shy boy he does need another dog in the home Do you have room for this hunk in your house?

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
