Meet Fletcher,
Poor little Fletcher was living at the local dog pound! Can you imagine a cute baby like this that was not retrieved by his owners? And, this little boy having to stay at the big, scary dog pound?

MARS pulled this boy out of the pound as soon as he could be released, and put him in an emergency foster home. This puppy is the biggest cuddler you've ever seen. He just wants some love and attention and a second chance at life. After all, he'd barely had a first chance! He is just settling in to his new foster home and is beginning to search for his forever home.

UPDATE FROM HIS EMERGENCY FOSTER: Fletcher is a wonderful little guy, who slept the whole night in his crate at his emergency fosters, and has only had one accident in his crate which is very good for a puppy his age. He is very friendly with the other dogs, and likes to play with the resident 3 year old beagle. He completely ignores the kitties, so would do great in a home with cats. He loves my 5 year old son, and always wants to be near him when he can. He also love adult attention and settles down nicely after a good run in the fenced in yard. He seems to walk good on a leash, but like all puppies he loves to chew, so please keep a good supply of things that are good for him to chew on. He is just a sweet guy and is looking for a great home, hopefully with kids and other pets, but would love a home with a single person too, who had a lot of time to cuddle him while watching TV or reading a good book. He will be a quick learner, and would make a good hunting or cabin buddy, as he just wants to be where you are all the time. We will continue to work on his potty training as long as he is here, and also all the basic commands. If your looking for a cuddly friendly pal, Fletcher is your guy!!!!

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
